ENGIE Group has today announced that its global services operations will be incorporated into EQUANS, an ENGIE company, creating a world leader in multi-discipline technical installation and maintenance services.
The formation of EQUANS will enable a focus on providing design, construction and maintenance services that connect, power and protect territories, cities, buildings, facilities and energy and transportation systems. While EQUANS is headquartered in France, the business in Australia and New Zealand will be led by a local Australian management team, overseeing the company’s local operations and ensuring best-in-class service provision. For customers in Australia and New Zealand this will mean the creation of more agile, more localised solutions, leveraging the organisation’s global expertise to add further value in the HVAC, fire, electrical, communications and audio-visual sectors.
ENGIE Services has built an industry-leading multidisciplinary technical services business in Australia and New Zealand that has played a critical role in world-first projects such as Springfield Net-Zero, which will see the Queensland city become the world’s greenest by 2038. Customers of the original business will see no disruption in their contracts and will continue to benefit from the advantages of working with the wider ENGIE Group which will wholly own EQUANS.
Speaking about the launch of EQUANS, ANZ CEO Clive Ross, said this was a hugely exciting moment for the company.
“We are already an established market leader in Australia and New Zealand and the consolidation of the global services business under one unified brand will allow us to deliver even more targeted solutions for our customers.”
“As EQUANS, we are now very well positioned to achieve strong growth in the ANZ region and to support customers in adapting to the energy, digital and industrial transition we are witnessing across our economy.”
“The built environment and smart technology are evolving rapidly, and we will be at the forefront of this evolution – delivering cleaner, greener, and more efficient solutions which make commercial sense for our customers.”
